Static Cling Vinyl
Static cling vinyl is a special formulation of polyvinyl
chloride (PVC) to which a large amount of plasticizer (a
liquid) has been added. This highly plasticized formulation is
exceptionally pliable. The vinyl is calendered to give it a smooth
finish. When the vinyl film is applied to a clean, smooth, glossy
surface, it adheres firmly without the need for an adhesive. Because
there is no adhesive, application or
installation is very easy. It can be removed and re-applied nearly
indefinitely without leaving behind an adhesive residue. This makes
it ideal for seasonal window graphics, signs, decals, point of
purchase applications and protective masking applications.
Plasticling static cling vinyl from Plastiprint is available in a
wide array of constructions, colors and configurations. Because
Plastiprint specializes in static cling, we can provide you with a
high quality product that exactly meets your needs.
Please contact Plastiprint's sales support staff to request

Plasticling Static Cling Vinyl
Plasticling static cling vinyl is a highly plasticized, calendered,
flexible PVC film laminated to a paperboard or polycoated release
liner with a printable backside. Plasticling clings to clean,
smooth, glossy surfaces without the need of adhesives of any kind.
Plasticling static cling vinyls are manufactured to order, providing
the highest possible surface energy levels to ensure excellent print
reliability and ink adhesion. Standard vinyl thicknesses available
for Screen Printing are 6-mil or 7-mil vinyl. White, cast-coated
liners such as Kromekote® are available in standard 8pt. and 10pt.
thicknesses.
Vinyls:
6-mil Economy Vinyl:
6-mil vinyl has slightly better adhesion to glass, but with a slight
increase in flow lines (optical distortion). Great for price
sensitive applications and when longer rolls are required while
limiting weight and/or roll diameter. Available in clear and white.
7-mil Standard Vinyl:
7-mil vinyl is considered the industry standard. Has excellent
adhesion characteristics and excellent optical clarity. 7-mil vinyl
is the ideal static cling vinyl for point of purchase advertising.
Available in clear and white.
Liners:
8-pt. Economy Liner:
8-pt. white Kromekote® liner with a printable backside. Good
lay-flat characteristics for roll or sheet-fed presses.
10-pt. Standard Liner:
10-pt. white Kromekote® liner has excellent lay-flat characteristics
and is considered the standard liner thickness for the Screen
industry.
Standard Sheet Sizes:
Standard sheet stock sizes are 25" X 36"and 27" X 38". Custom sheet
sizes are always available. Minimum order of 100 sheets.
Made To Order:
Available in sheets and rolls. Master roll usable widths are 36",
50" and 54".
Custom sheets are available square cut to size (+/- 1/26th square).
Rolls are available with untrimmed or trimmed edges. Custom slitting
available upon request (full master roll minimum).
