Pressure Sensitive films
Pressure Sensitive films are designed for applications where
more adhesion than what static cling vinyls can provide is needed.
The extra adhesion comes in the form of a permanent or low tack
removable adhesive on the backside of the film. These applications
include matte surfaces such as plasterboard walls, furniture,
cardboard, metal, etc. Pressure sensitive films are ideal for
signboards, appliances and electronic devices and are also useful
for windows where more adhesion than static cling is desired.
Installation, while not difficult, is not quite as easy as static
cling and somewhat more care must be taken during the application
process, especially on surfaces where the adhesive can pick up dust
that can reduce its adhesion.

Supercling® LTR is designed for short and long term applications on
glass or other glossy surfaces but also for use on matte surfaces
such as walls, metals, woods, plastics, paint and others. LTR's
unique premium adhesive is designed for controlled tack (limited
growth) for repositionability and easy long-term removability (up to
6 months) without leaving residue.
Two types of Clear SuperCling are available. The Clear/Matte
SuperCling's adhesive is light-diffusing and gives the clear vinyl a
soft, frosted look that may be desirable for certain applications.
It does provide excellent contact clarity (surfaces to which it is
applied show through clearly).
The Clear/Clear SuperCling adhesive is intended for applications
that require
see-beyond clarity. The clear/clear also provides excellent contact
clarity (surfaces to which it is applied show through clearly). The
clear/clear is ideal for storefront window applications.
White SuperCling LTR is available in a 4mil & 6mil thickness.
The 6mil has a 96# lay-flat liner.

3. Pressure Sensitive Films for Digital Products
Eclipse Series Supercling® LTR Vinyls
Plastiprint's Eclipse Series Supercling® LTR vinyls are supplied
with a unique, low-tack, pressure-sensitive (p/s) adhesive
formulation. Supercling LTR can be used anywhere Static Cling Vinyls
can be used but, because of its unique, low-tack adhesive, it can
also be applied to matte surfaces such as paper, walls, and other
non-gloss surfaces. Supercling LTR's proprietary adhesive is
designed for controlled tack (limited growth) for easy long-term
removability (up to 6 months) without leaving an adhesive residue
behind. Its unique, exceptionally smooth adhesive makes it easy to
install, re-position and remove.
The Eclipse Series Clear Supercling LTR provides a matte, frosted
appearance when viewed through to a distant background. The matte
value provides good light diffusion for use in windows or signs.
However, when applied to an opaque surface it provides excellent
contact clarity for use on walls or other areas where the background
should show through.
Eclipse Series Supercling LTR is a 4-mil vinyl on a 50lb liner and
rolls are available in 36-inch (14.2 cm) and 50-inch (19.7 cm)
widths. The Eclipse Series vinyls are specially topcoated making
them a unique and ideal media for use with wide format printers
using aqueous dyes or UV pigmented inks.
Since the coating is of an aqueous nature, for outdoor or
weatherproof applications, the vinyl must be over-laminated after
printing.
Vinyls:
4-mil Vinyl: 4-mil vinyl is a calendered, polymeric vinyl with great
dimensional stability but with enough flexibility to be successfully
applied to uneven surfaces. Available in only White. Clear Eclipse
is presently in R & D in order to provide a more superior product.
Liners:
50lb Liner: 50lb liner with printable backside, excellent die
cutting, not intended for applications requiring layflat.
Printer/RIP Setting:
The Eclipse Series coating is capable of accepting heavy ink loads.

Supercling LTR vinyls for the Arizona are non-topcoated, monomeric
vinyls with a unique, proprietary adhesive system. Supercling LTR's
adhesive is a true, long-term removable adhesive. Most so-called
removable adhesives are simply reduced-tack versions of permanent
adhesives. Over time, these adhesives grow in strength and in as
little as three months grow to permanent strength. Supercling LTR's
adhesive does not grow in strength and is guaranteed to be cleanly
removable (<2% residue) up to 6 months. Supercling LTR will adhere
to and remove easily from glossy and matte surfaces such as walls,
signboards and other matte surfaces.
Supercling LTR vinyl for the Arizona ink jet is a 4-mil (101.6µM)
vinyl on a 50# (81.5 gm/M˛) silicone coated liner. Master rolls are
54" wide and 150' in length.

Supercling® Ultra Low Tack Vinyl
Supercling® LTR pressure sensitive vinyl is a calendered vinyl with
an ultra-low tack pressure sensitive adhesive, laminated to a
paperboard release liner. Supercling LTR is designed for short and
long term applications on glass or other glossy surfaces but also
for use on matte surfaces such as walls, smooth grained wood, metal,
plastics and others. It is an ideal media for window graphics,
decals, signs, wall decorations, point of purchase and promotional
applications.
Supercling LTR's proprietary adhesive is designed for controlled
tack (limited growth) for easy long-term removability (up to 6
months) without leaving an adhesive residue behind. Its unique,
exceptionally smooth adhesive makes it easy to install, re-position
and remove. Clear Supercling LTR is a clear matte product that
diffuses light in window applications but has excellent contact
clarity on opaque surfaces. The Supercling media available for UV
offset litho printing is a 4-mil vinyl on a 90lb lay-flat liner.
Sheets are available from 54" wide master rolls.
Topcoating
The topcoating is designed for conventional offset lithography.
Although non-topcoated Supercling is perfectly suitable for UV
offset lithography, it may be desirable to use topcoated Supercling®
because of its reduced drying/curing time that may allow the press
to be run faster. The topcoating extends the shelf life of the
static cling up to six months.
Supercling® for Conventional Offset printing is available upon
special request. Please contact Plastiprint's sales support staff
for information.
